1979: Der AIR II war als erster Westenautomat eine Revolution. Bei der ersten Version ist das Gehäuse aus Glasfaserverbund und sehr robust. Die Anordnung ist noch etwas ungewohnt, der Atemkomfort konnte noch verbessert werden.

Die folgende 2. Version sieht schon fast wie die aktuelle Version aus, ist aber noch etwas umständlich in der Wartung.

Mit der 3. Version wurde nochmals die Atemarbeit optimiert und die Komponenten im Gehäuse getrennt, wodurch die Wartung einfacher wurde.

Mit Einführung der 4. Generation (CE-Gehäuse) kam auch noch eine bessere Einstellbarkeit (bei der Wartung) mit dazu.

Dieser Regler war ein echter Meilenstein und setzte Maßstäbe: Nun hatte man einen Inflator, der mit Fug und Recht als Powerinflator bezeichnet werden konnte und zudem einen ständig verfügbaren Oktopus, der damals noch nicht selbstverständlich war.

2006 kam die 5. Generation auf den Markt.

1979: The AIR II was as the first Alternate Inflator Regulator a true revolution. The first version is made of a glasfiber bonden material and really robust. The configuration needs a bit familiarization and the breathing comfort was to be improved. The following 2nd versions looks nearly like the actual version and breathes quite better than the predecessor, but is still a bit difficult to maintain. The breathing effort was increased with the third version. Maintaining became easier as the components were separated in the housing. The adjustement for maintaining was improved with the 4rd version (CE-Housing).

Generation 5 was issued in 2006

This regulator type was a true milestone and set new scales: It was the first time to have an inflator that can truly be named as a powerinflator and a steady available octopus (which wasn´t standard these times) combined.
